I`m thirteen and have co-written and recorded four-songs in the last seven-months. I got a chance to play at an open mic in Dallas, and a guy that casts for Disney was there. So here I was singing my heart out and playing the guitar when the mic started sliding down, so I kept going down with it. I couldn`t believe no one would come and help! By the end of the song I was almost to my knees.
He loved it and couldn`t believe I didn`t freak out because of the mic. He took my info (I`m too young to be in a high school musical movie). :)
We plan on attending lots of open mic nights this year.
A number of years back, I made the transition from avid musician hobbyist to professional performer. Since then, I`ve made my living in the music business.
If you`ve thought about `going pro`, I`ve got something that you`ll find very helpful.
